How to Feng Shui Your Bedroom

If you’re having trouble sleeping in your bedroom, you may need to incorporate some aspects of feng shui. This is an easy way to get a relaxing, well-organized space! Here’s how:

1. Warm & calming colours – Colour has been proven to affect us psychologically, so why not test this out in your own bedroom? Choosing colours like terra cottas and coppers, peaches and corals make a room feel cozy; whereas blues, greens and lavenders offer tranquility. This can be applied to your wall colours and the type of flooring you choose.

2. Bed placement – For true feng shui, your bed should be as far away from the door as possible to give you a sense of security.

3. Soft lines – When buying bedroom furniture, try to stay away from furniture that’s too harsh or sharp, instead going for curved pieces. If you need to make the most of the furniture you have, draping a soft, flowing fabric over the corners could do the trick.

4. No clutter – Clutter has the potential to make you feel stressed, so try to keep your space as clutter-free as possible. If you really want to take de-cluttering to the next level, throw out anything you own that you associate with a negative time in your life.
