Most people think of carpet for kids’ rooms, and carpet can be a great choice. Beige carpet is a great base for colourful rugs, and it’s versatile for children as they grow and change. Hardwood is similar in that it’s a good neutral to build on, but it’s easier to clean than carpet.
Laminate is durable and economical, and tile is durable and can be painted for a custom look. If you’re putting in a harder floor, you might want to put down a soft rug for a bit of cushioning.
Vinyl is also a great durable option, and is easy to clean, maintain, and resists stains that inevitably arise from having children!
